You may want to do thisevery few months if you use PEAR packages very frequently or don t reinstall PHP very often. However, most people will find that getting a new version of the PEAR Package Manager everytime you install a new version of PHP is frequent enough. The basic procedure is to go tohttp://go-pear.organd save the file there there is only one as go-pear.phpin adirectory that s accessible to your PHP compiler. Figure 28-1 shows the go-pearWeb site.
